This page explains what Hot Read FF stores, what we measure, and what we request from Sleeper.

Accounts

An account is optional. Every tool works without one.

If you sign in, we store an account id from our sign in provider, the Sleeper usernames and league ids you save, your labels, and when you added them. We do not copy your email into our database. Your email is used only to sign you in. We do not store rosters, trades, or scores.

[TODO: say whether an unused account is deleted after a period, and how long that period is.]

We keep this data until you delete your account. Deleted rows can remain in database backups for up to 6 hours. That window is the restore history on the Neon Free plan.

If you choose Google sign in, Google shares your Google account id and email with Clerk, our sign in provider. We use them only to sign you in. We do not use Google user data for ads. We do not sell it. We do not share it with an ad network. This follows the Google Limited Use rules.

Your controls

Open the account menu to export your data or delete your account. Export my data downloads the account id, Sleeper usernames, league ids, labels, and timestamps we store. Delete account removes those rows.

For anything else, write to [TODO: contact email].

We never send your account id, email, or saved leagues to an ad network.

Terms

Cookies

Hot Read FF does not set a tracking cookie. Your theme choice is saved in local storage on your device so the site can open light or dark. That value stays on your device. We do not use it to follow you on other sites.

When ads are on, an ad partner may set a cookie to count an ad view, limit repeats, and measure whether the ad was useful. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. The tools still run if you do.

Sign in cookies are set only after you start sign in. They keep you signed in. They are not used for ads, and they do not wait on an ad choice.

Clerk documents these cookies. __session is a short lived session token on this site. Clerk says this token lasts about one minute and is refreshed while you use the site.

__client_uat stores when the sign in session was last updated so the site can tell whether the session is still current. On the production service, Clerk sets this cookie.

__client is a long lived cookie marked HttpOnly. Clerk sets it and uses it to issue the short lived session token. Page scripts cannot read it.

The sign in session lasts up to 7 days. Clerk says the default maximum lifetime is 7 days, and changing that lifetime needs a paid Clerk plan.

In local development, Clerk may also set __clerk_db_jwt to keep a session in sync. That cookie is not used on the production site. Clerk may also set a short lived __clerk_handshake cookie while it confirms a session.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to count visits and see which pages people open. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies. It does not collect your name or email. A page view can include the page address, a referrer, and a coarse location such as a country.

We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.

Third party ad partners

Hot Read FF can show ads from third party partners. Ads stay off unless we turn them on. No ad script loads while ads are off.

When ads are on, a partner such as Google AdSense may receive the page address, a browser type, and a cookie identifier so it can choose an ad and limit repeats. Those partners control their own data use. Hot Read FF does not sell your information.

Live ads appear only on screens that already show a league report, trade results, or a guillotine board. They do not appear on the opening page, on loading or error screens, or when a view has no results.

Visitors in the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland do not receive ads for now. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we do not load an ad script.

We do not use automatic ads, anchor ads, vignette ads, or side rail overlays. We do not refresh an ad after it loads.

Sleeper data use

When you paste a Sleeper league ID, or when you open a league you saved, Hot Read FF requests that league from the public Sleeper API. We read the league, rosters, managers, drafts, and trades in order to build the report, roster view, and trade tools on your screen. When you enter a Sleeper username, we request that public profile and the football leagues for the current season.

We do not ask for your Sleeper password. The league ID can appear in the page address so you can share a link.

We also request public player values from FantasyCalc using league settings such as team count, scoring, and format. We do not send your name with that request.

Sleeper and FantasyCalc are separate services. Sleeper · FantasyCalc
